what is the syntax for formatting a number as text?

hello, my job requires that all fields in the sheet are formatted as text....sometimes the right click command doesnt work properly...i was wondering if there was a way to code it and make it more absolute.

would this do ?
Selection.NumberFormat = "@"
or
Cells.NumberFormat = "@"
