What happens if i keep Application.ScreenUpdating = False ?

Hey community,

I want to use Application.ScreenUpdating = False in my VBA code to improve calculating time. I can't see difference between false/true
I get result in both option. Can anybody explain me that please?

Even inefficient code may not appear slow unless there's lots of data/intense calculations

If you turn screenupdating off (ie False) it will prevent the screen from refreshing until the macro has finished.
How much time (if any) it will save depends on your code.

Thanks for reply, i use same VBA with different ranges 30-40 times. should i add Application.ScreenUpdating = False to all of them ? or only first one?

If it's just one sub then start with false and return to true just before the end.

Hi,
Use application.screenupdating= false ath the beginning of the main sub and the one with true value at the end. However, I recommend you include in the sub error handling and turn on screen updating when your sub goes error.

i use module to call all subs ( 40 subs ) can i add screenupdate on module instead of VBA?
can you please tell me how can i add error sub to my VBA?
