I need help with mixing numbers in a column. Is there a function that I can use? I need the column on the left to be mixed between 1 and 2. Then the column on the right to be mixed

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
Are you asking for repeated sorting? What version of excel are you using?
And, providing an expected result would be very beneficial to the helping the forum help you.

What version of Excel are you using?

I suggest that you update your Account details (or click your user name at the top right of the forum) so helpers always know what Excel version(s) & platform(s) you are using as the best solution often varies by version. (Don’t forget to scroll down & ‘Save’)

please describe what you mean by mixture? 1,2,2,1,1,2,2,2,1,1, and 1,4,2,5,3,9,6,7,8 are mixtures but they don't have any kind of pattern or reason.

that is exactly what I want. Once I have them mixed. I will merge them to look like this
1-9
1-2
1-3
1-5
1-6
1-8
1-1
1-7
1-4
And then the other set for 2
These are table and seat assignments for a party

If the sequence function is in 2019, you can use what is on the left, if not use what is on the right:

Book1
ABC
11 - 11 - 1
21 - 21 - 2
31 - 31 - 3
41 - 41 - 4
51 - 51 - 5
61 - 61 - 6
71 - 71 - 7
81 - 81 - 8
91 - 91 - 9
102 - 12 - 1
112 - 22 - 2
122 - 32 - 3
132 - 42 - 4
142 - 52 - 5
152 - 62 - 6
162 - 72 - 7
172 - 82 - 8
182 - 92 - 9
