What does @before a function do in new Excel

I had a popup to explain this change in my formulas but accidentally closed it before reading it...
Can someone point me towards an explanation?

Example
=@IFS(AVERAGE(C14:E14)>=90,"A",A...
 

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
I have no idea, but try entering the formula in a different cell and see if you get the pop-up back.

Thanks for pointing me the right way... I tried googleing @ function but that wasn't helping
