Hi all

I am trying to build something to use for my local darts and dominoes league and are unsure which one is best for what I need and am looking for help.

I have downloaded some football spreadsheets from internet where you enter the score and it updates the league but our league is based on points from the game so if we win 9-1 we get 9 points and other team gets 1.

I also need to track who wins each game so at end I know who won the most games.

I want to keep it as automatic as possible but dont think I can.

Can anyone lead me in right direction?

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
It doesn't sound like you need the abilities of a database, or queries. Excel should serve you just fine. You can achieve as little or as much (to a point) automation as you desire. If you could show us an example of how you would like the data laid out, then perhaps we can come up with something or lead you to where you can do it/learn it yourself.

Thanks that's really helped me out. I will star working on what I want and post it.

Basics of it is i want it to log the results of the 5 games each week and them points then update the table.

Advanced part is logging the 100 people that play each week on who wins so it tallys the most wins.

I will have a play around and post back
