Weird behavior when typing new post-enter key doesn't work

This is my first post to the forum, and I have no idea if I'm doing something wrong or not. When I type into the body box for creating a new message, my enter/return key does not work? So basically anything I type will be one continuous paragraph. Any ideas? Thank! Geekamo
