Web Query Problem

I have a web query that grabs info from Yahoo Finance. The info is from column A through J. I also want to put some formulas in the same sheet in columns futher out such as Columns M, N, and O. However, everytime I refresh my query all my formulas are gone and erased. On my External Data Range Properties this is what I have checked.

Save query definition
Enable background refresh
Preserve cell formatting
Adjust column width
and Overwrite exising cells with new data, clear unused cells

What do I need to do in order to keep my formulas in Columns M, N, and O.

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
What you could do, is, copy the information to a second sheet, then add your calculations to that. Then when the web data on the first sheet is updated, your formulas on the second should be OK.

Thanks I thought of that and it is my last option. I was just wondering what I did wrong because I have other queries that don't erase the entire sheet.

Try moving your calculated fields a couple of columns further along.
I think that might stop them being deleted.

Just wanted to say thanks for the advice, it was very helpful dealing with the same problem I had with a project I am working on. I had to move my figures as far across as column U before they would remain on the sheet.
