We need a separate forum for charts

I was just going back to mark old threads solved when I came across this one:

Adding sections to existing chart | MrExcel Message Board

It got zero replies, so, naturally, there is no solution. Do you want me to just leave it as is?

I have posted a few questions about charts. They get very few responses, if any at all. I think we need a separate section for charts. Excel is a very complicated product. Lumping questions about all aspects of the product in a single section makes it difficult to sort out what's relevant to my needs. If we had a dedicated charts section, people who use charts regularly might gravitate there resulting in better participation.

I think the same about a VBA section.

Yes

I think the same about a VBA section.
The reason that we don't was set out clearly here many years ago, and the same reasons still stand.

Similarly, if we had separate Excel Questions, Charts and VBA forums and three users wanted help with either VBA or formulas to help create data for a chart, one would likely post in Excel Questions, one would likely post in the VBA forum and the other likely post in the Chart forum which would most probably actually make it even more "difficult to sort out what's relevant to my your needs"

OK. I disagree with the rationale, but "it is what it is".

A separate Charts section might make it a little more difficult to find what I need, but I doubt it. Many of the forums I follow have dozens of sections -- some a lot more. I find them very easy to use and to find what I need. Their search facility searches all sections, for example. I think most thoughtful users who wanted help with formulas and/.or VBA code to help withy generating a chart would choose the Chart section if it was mostly about the chart or the VBA section if it was mostly about the VBA code. I know that's what I'd do. And you could always move threads that were posted in a less-than-ideal section.

That sounds like a nightmare for both users and Moderators.
As you know, we only have a handful of forums, and we still have a bunch of threads being posted in the wrong forums every day that we need to move around.
