I'm trying to create a waterfall chart based off the following data. I want the numbers to go from left to right showing a downward slope to show how we are decreasing spend per program. The final number (10.8) represents what we will spend after the decreases in programs. I know how to create a waterfall chart but I can't make the graph look the way it should.
I'm told the graph should take the below shape. The only way I can do that is if I make all the numbers except the first one Negative, but it doesn't look right to show the final value (10.8) as a negative, as this number is a total and should be positive.
Can someone help me figure out how to properly represent this?
Current/Future Spend Variance | |
Program | Total |
Current Spend | $ 15,402,841.29 |
A | $ (3,312,350.63) |
B | $ (48,000.00) |
C | $ - |
D | $ (1,213,242.09) |
Future Spend | $ 10,829,248.58 |
