Hello,

I have a powerpoint presentation that I construct on a monthly basis. It's coming along nicely and I'd like to add an additional feature to it. Instead of manually running through all of the stats and reincorporating them into each time, I'd like to create links from my power point presentation to the excel chart. So for example, I have a sentence on slide 3 that says, "In August, [Our company] achieved a system availability of 99.3%"

I would like the text IN THE TEXT BOX to link to a cell in excel. It's easy to link separate information to excel, but I've not been able to configure the linking of text within a text box to a cell in a separate excel document.

Is this possible?

Thank you!

Excel Facts

How to fill five years of quarters?
Type 1Q-2023 in a cell. Grab the fill handle and drag down or right. After 4Q-2023, Excel will jump to 1Q-2024. Dash can be any character.
I have found nothing on linking a textbox to Excel. Sorry.
Why do you need to have the textbox linked?

I know there is a way to link information from excel to a PP. I just don't know how to do it.

I want to do it so I can just devote my focus to make the excel report as good as possible, and then I can just update the relevant information automatically.

I don't believe that you can link a cell to a textbox. If so, I haven't found it. But you can create your own "textbox" by copy/paste as link a cell from Excel to a powerpoint slide.
I thought by your post you do that already.
