Hello

Want a fresh start to 2025 with my Excel sheet working as it should - I asked this question before but never quite got the right answer.

I once found the most elegant solution online but can't remember it or where I found the solution! (great)

I don't need to use VBA or tables, I know it can work without all that, it's very simple.

I enter information manually in a row
I use a simple formula to calculate an equation referencing 2 cells containing numbers - the formula cell gives the answer
When I enter info on the row below, I don't want to have to drag the corner of the formula cell down, I want it to autofill it.
I could "pre-load" the cells by just dragging it down to cover say 20 rows, more than I would need, but that is messy.

Anyone? Here is an image showing how it looks.

Thanks.

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
