I have the following VLOOKUP formula that is returning #REF and am not sure why.

=VLOOKUP($B15,Case_Form!$B$2:$B$186,7,FALSE)

For reference the number in B15 is present on the Case_Form tab.

Excel Facts

Workdays for a market open Mon, Wed, Friday?
Yes! Use "0101011" for the weekend argument in NETWORKDAYS.INTL or WORKDAY.INTL. The 7 digits start on Monday. 1 means it is a weekend.
Re: Help with VLOOKUP

It's because your lookup range is 1 column wide, but you are trying to return a value from the 7th column.
Try
$B$2:$I$186

Re: Help with VLOOKUP

That did the trick! Is there anyway to drag the formula across the row and have it automatically change what column it is pulling from?

Re: Help with VLOOKUP

Yup, where is the formula to start with & do you want to pull from col I to start with?

Re: Help with VLOOKUP

My formula is in column L on my Demographics tab and I want it to pull from the Case_Form tab from column G or 6 for the purpose of the formula over.

Re: Help with VLOOKUP

In that case try
=VLOOKUP($B15,Case_Form!$B$2:G$186,COLUMN()-6,FALSE)

Re: Help with VLOOKUP

That worked for the next two columns but wouldn't pull anything passed that, any idea why it stopped after 2 columns?

What did it return?

Re: Help with VLOOKUP

After the first three columns came over the remainder returns #REF !
