Hi,

I know I've done this before - but I can't figure it out again! I'm trying to display commission % rates based on Account Name.

Sheet 1: A Column: Account Name
Sheet 2: A Column: Account Name to Search
Sheet 2: B Column: Corresponding Commission Rates for each account

I'd like to search Sheet 2 A:A for an account name on Sheet 1, and display (on sheet 1) the corresponding commission rate for the account (as listed on Sheet 2).

Do I use VLookup (doesn't seem to be working for me) or do I use If statement? HELP!!!!

Excel Facts

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
This assumes that there is only one commission rate per account

(where A2 contains value to be searched for) formula in Sheet1 cell B2
=VLOOKUP(A2,Sheet2!A:B,2,0)
