Hi i am using a vlookup and getting #Na errors but for example the value is 51290 and it exists in both areas so should not get a NA error. when i make it '51290 it then finds it and works, is there a faster way in doing this so i dont get the na error?

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.
How about something like VLOOKUP(A2&"",...

That did not work, is the lookup value is on the left side of the cell and then the value in the table array is on the right side of the cell, but when i put a ' in front of the value in the table array the value appears
but i have multiple values that like this that i would have to put a ' in front of them

In that case you would be better off getting your data sorted, so that it is all text, or all numbers but not a mix.
