Using VLookup, Bill selects two winners!
Transcript of the video:
Hey, welcome back.
It’s Bill Jelen on Tuesday of the VLOOKUP week was hilarious.
As people post their Ode to VLOOKUP and we got excellent responses.
Some of my favorites here, Michael Pennington rocked out a haiku, Ray Double U.
He sent in a poem that actually has words rhyming Jelen.
Yoohoo!
Keep J wrote a very long poem.
Elaine remembers her college professor walking in, pulling up a job board, and typing in VLOOKUP, and Pivot Table, and showing how many jobs were dependent on knowing that bends.
And watch out, VLOOKUP is the gateway formula.
Pretty soon you’ll be addicted to Power Pivot.
EFS Express it is a formula.
All of these were great.
Now, we have two prizes from Tuesday, the formulas and functions book, Paul McHenry’s donated by Q.
So, we have 20 items here I’m going to name this range.
I’m going to call it Entrants.
So, now we have a named range right here.
I’ll select this cell and this cell =INDEX(Entrants,RANDBETWEEN(1,20)).
Do CTRL + ENTER.
There we go.
Hey, alright.
So, Jack wins the book and oops, Simon wins the LOOKUP Week t-shirt.
Check back tomorrow.
