Hi All,

I've got 2 columns of data, and need to add the numbers in column B for all the instances of specific terms in column A.

e.g.

So I have a list of unique values of the A column in another area, and I need to be able to display the SUM of all the instances of that person - so display 35 for Jo rather than 20 or an error.

Can anyone help? This must be possible, surely?

Excel Facts

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
Thanks! I can't believe I've never used SUMIF in all the years I've been using Excel!
