Hello, here is my scenario I need help with please:
I have one report that has names and titles in one excel tab. I have another report with names and phone numbers on another tab. The names are the shared element. What exact formula can I use so that the report with titles can search for a name match from the other excel tab of numbers and when it finds a name match, populate that person's phone number into that person's row that has their title? Im assuming it's some form of vlookup but not sure. Thank you very much!

yes a vlookup or index/match

more detail of tabs names and range would help
report with titles = name (column A) and titles (Column B), phone number from other sheet (Column C)
tab of numbers = name (column A) and phone number (Column B) .

in sheet report with titles (Column C)

=VLOOKUP( A2, 'tab of numbers'!A:B,2,0)
