Hi there! I hope I'm being clear on this question. I'm unsure if it's VLookup, Match, Index, etc.? Thanks in advance for your help!

I have 2 spreadsheets. Sheet 1 is where I want the output and formula to be. If a name in column C of Sheet 1 matches a name in column C of sheet 2, then I'd like the data in column R of Sheet 2 (that is in the same row as the matched name) to populate in column I of sheet 1. If no name matches, then leave column I of sheet 1 blank.

Thank you!
Mark

AhoyNC, thank you for your reply! I tried that formula but all the ouptut came back blank. Any ideas on why that might be?

Not sure if it matters, but the data in Column R of Sheet 2 are numbers. Data in column C of both sheets are letters/words.

Check to see if you have an actual match between an item on sheet1 and sheet2 in columns C. Where does the data come from, is it downloaded. Could there be spaces either before or after a name in either Sheet1 or Sheet2?

Doh! I only included one quotation mark " instead of two "" in the formula. Thank you for your time and it's working well! Thanks again!

Glad it was an easy fix. Thanks for the feedback.
