VLOOKUP function

Hi Everyone,

This is probably a really simple thing but when inserting the VLOOKUP function, what is an easy way to know and remember what to insert in each of the parts of function like in lookup_value, table_array and col_index_num? It confuses me as to what to put in each.

A2: mh24083

E2:E10 >> names
F2:F10 >> addresses

What is the address of mh24083, given in A2?

=VLOOKUP(A2,$E$2:$F$10,2,0)

which means look up A2 in E2:F10 and return his/her address from column 2 of E2:F10 (E2:E10 is column 1; F2:F10 is column 2).

The 0 (same as using FALSE there) in this formula means that mh24083 must exist as is in E2:E10 (case is ignored).
