I am new to forums so be kind. I fancy myself more than a beginner with Excel but reading some of the post I have no clue what some of you are saying.
I am tracking inventory shipments and have to report what shipments have rejects. I have a data table with a listing of all part numbers shipped and the date of delivery and the invoice numbers of the shipments. I get a report from my boss saying how many items were rejected, the part number and the date of reject. I have to trace back what the invoice number was based on the date. I have looked at vlookup, dget, index and match, but I don't see how to apply to my criteria. I can upload the file if necessary.
