Hello everyone

I am looking for some assistance from someone more experienced than I am in Excel.

I have a massive database that contains the car registration no. for all employees. The database is on 2 different sheets, one covering single drivers and the other one car sharing drivers. The 2 sheets are formatted different (for ex. if the name of the employee is on column A in sheet 1, on sheet 2 the name of the employee is found on column B).
I have been tasked with creating a new excel document where if an employee inputs their registration no in a cell, he will be able to receive all the information we have on record (for ex. if I input my reg no I want see all the details under my name, meaning Name, Manager, Phone, 2nd car registration (some employees has more than 1 car) etc.). In rare occasions they same registration no can be found under 2 different name, so I would like to formula to capture that as well. I have messed around with formulas but I cant see to get it to work.

I would very much appreciate if someone would be kind enough to take the time and help me with this.

Regards,
Gabriel

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.
You need to clearly describe Sheet 1 and Sheet 2.
Saying the employee appears in column A on sheet 1 and in B on Sheet 2 is fine but where is the other data located, like registration number, manager phone etc

You cant attach files on this forum. There are tools on this forum for adding small spreadsheet images

Remember to include row and column headers so we know what cells the data is in
