Excel Facts

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN
You cannot use Conditional Formatting to return values. It only changes the formatting of a cell.

So, are you saying that you want to look at each value in column A, see if it is found anywhere in column D, and if it is found, return "YES" (otherwise "NO")?

If so, enter this formula in cell B2 (your YES/NO column) and copy down for all rows:
Code:
=IF(COUNTIF(D:D,A2)>0,"YES","NO")
