Hi,

Please can anyone help me?

I'm looking to have a data validation list in 'G18' showing a list of Valve Block Types based on the Manufacturer 'G17'.

The list of Valve Block Types are detailed in DVI sheet (I13:Q45)

Kind Regards,

Hi

Amended file is here -> https://ufile.io/jdlm5
all I have done is:

a. Added some data validation in Survey Sheet/G18 which contains
Allow is 'LIST'
Source is INDIRECT(SUBSTITUTE(G17," ", ""))

b. Added some Named ranges for the various Valve Block types in the DVI sheet

so what happens is the the data validation in G18, (the substitute replaces any blanks in G17 with 'nothing' so allowing the lookup to get to the correct named range (e.g. So a value of 'Moris Italia' relales to a named range of 'MorisItalia'), refers to a named range based on the value in G17

if the data within the DVI sheets 'grows' all that you would need to do is to change the range of cells that the Named range refers to (e.g. FORMULAS menu, Name Manager, etc.)

regards
