Vlookup and comments

I have a large spreadsheet with data that I use the vlookup command with to copy information alternate worksheets. Many of the cells in the "data" worksheet have comments attached to them. When I use the vlookup command in other worksheets to retrieve data from cells of the data worksheet, the comments don't copy. Is there a way to get the comments to copy over as well? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

maybe some bright spark has an add on to enable copied comments during a VBA routine move, as far as I know they are there to help with only the current spreadsheet normally

there is a routine in paste special for comments but i've never tried it

The only way of accessing the comment is via VBA:

Range("A1").Comment.Text

Would I add this to my =vlooup formula in some way? Or how would I program this into my new worksheet?
