Viewing pivot sheet & chart on two monitors

I have a dual-monitor set-up, which is useful for comparing two workbooks side by side (if each is opened in its own instance of excel).

I have a fairly intricate pivot table (and chart) that I want to be able to manipulate data on my primary screen and see the results in the chart on my second monitor.

I'm sure it's just a case of storing the report and the chart in two separate workbooks, ensuring that the chart reads from the first workbook and doing the 2xExcel option.

What I've been doing (frustrating as...) is to keep the chart on the same sheet as the pivot table and drag it so that its length straddles my two monitors. This does mean that I have to keep on repositioning my chart/data. Ugh.

Know that you'll have some smart solution or berate me for reposting an FAQ (in which case a link to the old post would be appreciated ;))
