View Macro Pop-Up Window lists macros that don't exist

Greetings! I am using Excel 2013.

I have a large file that has 5 actual macros saved in it. These 5 macros are listed in the Macros Pop-up menu (View - Macros - View Macros).
The problem is that this list includes somewhere around 50 non-existing "macros" with names like "s" and "un" and "unshade" and I have to search through them to find the actual existing macros. When I select the "s" / "un" / "unshade" macros, the only option the pop-up windo allows is "Create".

I looked at the modules and the code for all of the pages...and I don't see anything that doesn't belong.

Does anyone know how to get the non-existant "macros" out of my view macros list?

Thank you for your help!
Amy

Excel Facts

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
Amy.
Your question seems to contradict itself.

You say:"I looked at the modules and the code for all of the pages...and I don't see anything that doesn't belong."

But then you say:
"Does anyone know how to get the non-existant "macros" out of my view macros list"

If they are there and you still need them how can they be non-existant????

@AmyDeez, when you click the drop down and select This workbook do they appear in the list? and if the answer is no if you from the drop down select personal workbook do they reappear?

The other question is are other workbook open?

Mark858,
I just tried it again. I have no other workbooks open. I used the "Macros in:" drop down menu to look at my personal file...and it only has my actual personal macros in it. When I select "This Workbook" in the drop down menu, it includes the non-existent macros. When I select the macros on the list called "s", "un", or "unshade", the only option the pop-up window gives me is "Create".

The only work around I can think of is saving the file as an excel workbook (not macro-enabled), then, enabling macros again, pasting them in and re-linking them. But, I'm hoping there is a better way.

Thanks!
Amy

If you type un into the name box to the left of the formula bar and press Enter, what happens (if anything)?

My apologies for the confusion...I just meant to say that I cannot find the non-existent Macros that show up in the View Macros Pop Up Window anywhere else in my file. I don't know where they are coming from or why they are in the list. I find it even more confusing that they are in this list, but when I select them, the only option the pop-up window allows is "create". If they're not already created...why are they in the View Macros Pop Up Window?

I appreciate any insight into this seemingly illogical occurance.
Thanks,
Amy

@AmyDeez, you haven't got any regular sub's that are in sheet modules have you (clutching at straws as I can't remember if they show up in the macro list and no Excel with me at the moment)?
