Vertical line in Line chart as a Marker of some event

Hello,

I have a table with dates and values.
I created a Line chart that has dates in horizontal Axis, and values in vertical axis.

This shows how much energy I have consumed throughout the years.

I would like to add some kind of marker to the chart, being a simple vertical line and in the Legend to have the explanation, such as "Electric boiler bought".
I can't figure out how to accomplish it.

I tried adding few extra lines on the needed dates with one value being 0 and other being maximum (such as 3000) and adding another column which would be used as a name for the line in the Legend.
But it's very inconvenient and it breaks the lines of the chart for that date.
