I have a column of number values and need to find a give amount which could be a multiple of 1 or more of those numbers. Is this possible in excel?

Excel Facts

Select a hidden cell
Somehide hide payroll data in column G? Press F5. Type G1. Enter. Look in formula bar while you arrow down through G.
I would need more details.

Hello,

If your question is related to Accounting Reconciliation ...

You are probably looking for " which numbers sum up to a given Total " ...

Is that right ?

You may want to give a look to this workbook:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/g7jyqglhsllvld3/CercaCombinaz_V1-308.xlsm?dl=0

Instruction are the following:
-Insert in sheet LAVORO, in B2 and below the list of values. Max 30 values
-Insert in sheet LAVORO- A1 thempty it will be 0.001
-All value must be positive
-Insert in sheet LAVORO - A4 the "total" to be searched

-Start macro CercaCombo308 via the button marked AVVIA; a userform will be shown
---Optionally modify the "Time Out" (default = 1 minut)
---Press CERCA

Possible combinations will be shown fron column C on
You may get the status of the search using button Status, or stop the search using button Stop
A message will confirm end of search

Maximum 999 results (250 in XL2003) will be searched

At the end, if you select one of the X on row 1 then the corresponding addends in column B will be highlighted
