as suggested by Sandy666 I a man starting a new thread.
I have a list of 160 golfers made up of 80 couples. These couples have different handicaps but to make it fair I am trying to make up 40 teams of 4 people keeping spouses together and trying to get the total handicap for each 4 some to be as close as possible. It usually comes in around 50 when I figure it out by hand. A few couples have very low handicaps and pairing them with the highest possible handicaps still comes up less than 50. The file I have linked to has VBA code that makes up 40 teams but does not keep spouses together and that is what I am trying to achieve.
i would appreciate any help that can modify the code to make up teams, keeping spouses together and total handicaps as close as possible
