Hello,

Hope you are all well. I want to understand something. Is there a way that I can set up an excel macro that will allow me to update multiple versions of the same sheet, even if it is on other computers?

My situation is, I've been working with a sheet for a little while now that is soon going to be rolled out to more employees. If I make an update to my excel sheet, including the vba/formulas in some of the tabs, is there a way to ensure that their copies of the sheet receive the updates as well?

I don't know quite what the right way is to ask the question, or else I would have done a more exhaustive search in google before turning here. Hope you are well,

Steve

Maybe this won't work for you, but I have often used this method:

I work on a (Master) Version of a Workbook File. At the end of every day, I save the file to a network drive as a (Live) version.

There is a shortcut to the (Live) version on every employee's desktop.

The (Live) version of the file is marked 'Read-Only' and has some additional Protection properties that I don't have on the (Master) version.

This makes it so employees can all use the same file without messing it up for everyone else. (it forces you to "save-as" a copy, rather than overwriting)
