Hi there,

I have a couple of macro's that need to unlocked specified sheet protections, run the code, then reinstate the protections as they were before. At the moment I can only reinstate it for the whole sheet which impacts my slicers and future use of the sheet.

They are:

  1. Select unlocked cells
  2. Use Auto filters
  3. Edit scenarios

Is there anyway around this?

Cheers,
Idi

Excel Facts

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.

Maybe this will help.

Turn on the macro recorder, protect sheet and select protections, turn off the recorder.

Copy the code to protect inside your code.
