VBA project getting deleted / corrupted by Cortex XDR

I can't find much on it, and I thought I'd solved the issue by adding a self-signed cert to the project so it didn't look hokum.

No such luck today, I'm just building a quick add-in for Excel to do some quick visual / data transformations in a ribbon -x project, however, when I'm making updates / trying to save, Cortex XDR interrupts , deletes/corrupts the save file.

Anyone else have similar situations with corporate anti-virus, and suggestions for their IT to allow , in instances where someone's creating legitimate add-ins for company usage?

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
Yes. I have (had) this problem - it took me a while to work out what was happening. I haven't had an issue (yet) with the company laptop/AV, save that it strips all code from XLSM files that are sent by email. I think your only option is to whitelist a designated directory/files on your computer or corporate shared drive, and store the addins there.

Solution
Thanks @Dan_W - I had the same again recently when trying to add in Ron De Bruin's VBE import/export script so I could put my .bas on git/svn. I'll see if I can get a directory whitelisted.
