Hi all could someone please remind me of how to code a workbook so its password protected so a user has to enter the password the next time its opened. I have done this before on some old projects but it was so long ago I just can't remember how.

Just for info, I know this is not very secure and its fairly easy to crack excel passwords but the workbook I am trying to protect is only going to be used by my wife and it will give her a feeling of it being 'secure'

Thanks Paul

You can teach Excel a new custom list. Type the list in cells, File, Options, Advanced, Edit Custom Lists, Import, OK
Thanks Joe I can't believe I forgot how simple it is to do this and was over thinking it in my mind !
