I know how to open a document. I want the VBA to allow the refresh upon opening to complete before saving and closing the workbook.

Code:
Workbooks.Open Filename:="Folder Location"

Excel Facts

Quick Sum
Select a range of cells. The total appears in bottom right of Excel screen. Right-click total to add Max, Min, Count, Average.
Strange there is no specific difference; vba overides the document's refresh on opening setting anyway
Code:
Workbooks.Open Filename:="File Location"
    ActiveWorkbook.RefreshAll
    DoEvents
    MsgBox "Complete"
