I need codes to check both MS Word and MS Excel files separately. I don't know if same code will work in both situations. for example files are as follows,

>Ticker Graveyard.docx
>Ticker Graveyard.xlsx

I want to check two conditions for either of files.

1. If the file is open or close
2. If file is open, then it is activated or not

I had googled this but I am getting complex codes for example, To check if "filelocked" etc.

Excel Facts

How to fill five years of quarters?
Type 1Q-2023 in a cell. Grab the fill handle and drag down or right. After 4Q-2023, Excel will jump to 1Q-2024. Dash can be any character.
I have been using this code and having Error "5941 requested member collection does not exist"

Code:
If Tasks.Exists(NAME:="Ticker Graveyard") = False Then
Documents.Open FileName:=fpath & "\..\Ticker Graveyard.docx"
Else
Windows("Ticker Graveyard").Activate
End If
