VBA/Macro development guides, for dummies, etc...

can someone suggest a basic starting point for VBA and Macro develpoment, if i am completely new to programming (which im not) where would be a good place to start, a question i might have is "how do i get to where i am supposed to enter the code for VBA in my excel spreadsheets?"
I understand google exists and i know if i look for at least 6 hours i can find a simple guide but i figured you experts would know best

hehe that sounds fantastic but im not sure i really want to spend the time and money on something like that.. do you have a less detailed (maybe free) guide?

We don't, but if you do a search for VBA under Help in Excel, that will get you started. Else, as you mention - Google
