I would like to find a working vba script that searches for the name of places I specify in a column, in Google maps, and then extracts the latitude and longitude of these places.
Seems to need to get an API key for Google Maps Geocoding API. And it's not free. You can request Google Maps Geocoding API sending a format written in XML or JSON. Returning an XML by the API, you can get the latitude and longitude simply by VBA.
Geocoding converts addresses into geographic coordinates to be placed on a map. Reverse Geocoding finds an address based on geographic coordinates or Place IDs.

If I found a free way, I'll let you know. Or anyone know a free way?
