vba get the # of rows used after filtering data from a certain point

hi,

after filtering...i want to count the number of rows used from after the headers...the headers fill in the top 6 rows and the data is row 7 and below (from columns A to N)....essentially i just want vba to tell me how many rows are used today after doing some sort of filtering and excluding the top 6 rows

MsgBox ActiveSheet.AutoFilter.Range.Columns(1).SpecialCells(xlVisible).Count - 1

my bad...does it matter if an advanced filter is used?

it works...thanks! instead of autofilter and "range" ...i replaced it with "usedrange"
