Hello!

This is question a for Finance or Banking users. Can you please describe what would you use VBA for? i.e. in what procedures, automations etc

Thank you in advance!

Excel Facts

Control Word Wrap
Press Alt+Enter to move to a new row in a cell. Lets you control where the words wrap.
Anything really, reporting, making charts. I've mad a Workbook which extacts historical data from yahoo finance, and calculates returns of closing prices, ang graphs them..

Your immagination is the only thing that limits your usage. :)

Code:

Indeed, any sort of manual and/or repetative labour, sorting, deletion of specific data etc.

If you sit there working on something in excel and the thought pops into your head "There has to be an easier way to do this" chances are VBA can do it.

I've completed VBA projects for tracking of around 4000+ sailors/marines onboard an aircraft carrier who were conducting a March Madness Tournament with two scoring style brackets to creating a random insult generator button on a movie rental spreadsheet for one easily irritated young lady that worked for me so she could try and laugh instead of tossing her own insults at our customers who she thought were being idiotic (she was a very very smart individual who sometimes lacked a filter).

It's just a matter if you feel you get the return of benefits on the time invested in making the code. If you do get a return then VBA would definitely be an answer.
