VBA: Fill Empty Cell With White

Hi everyone,

I'm new to using VBA and am in need of some practice. My manager often asks me to deliver data sheets in excel with all visible cells except the ones with data in them whited out as he thinks this looks better.

I tried to write a code to do this for me but this turns all of the cells that I select white (including the ones that I colored for other reasons, I would like these to retain their color).

Is there a way to fix this?

The code I'm currently using is as follows:

Sub Makewhite()

Selection.Interior.ColorIndex = xlNone
Selection.SpecialCells(xlCellTypeBlanks).Interior.ColorIndex = 2

End Sub

Many thanks in advance.

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.
