VBA error "Cannot find installable ISAM"

I am trying to execute a VBA script to import the contents of an excel file into an access table and am getting the following message "Could not find installable ISAM".

The code I am running is as follow;

Sub Import_Data()

DoCmd.TransferSpreadsheet acImport, 8, "dbo_PAXUS", "C:\PAXUS.xls", True

End Sub

Was reading this: But this is really a VB error description.

This should be an installation problem. Try reinstalling the Data Access components for Access using your original installation disk.
