VBA Define variable

Have a column A with a lot of account numbers in acending order.

Want to define in VBA the row number, that matches the criteria:

The row in column A should have the highest number closest to 4000.

rowno=Application.Match(4000,Range("A1:A1000"),1) 'need to set the range
