Hi,

I have built a customized ribbon in VBA.
This worked well and suddenly it disappeared...
In VBA I added "loss of state" and the physical address of the ribbon, but how can I retrieve it now?

Many thanks for your quick reply.

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
Hi Axelle,

Did the XML ribbon customization code get removed from the file, or did the custom tab just become not visible?

Was the XML code saved in a specific workbook for use in that workbook or in an add-in for use in multiple workbooks?

Hi Jerry,

Thanks for your reply.
The custom tab became not visible.
The XML code is saved in this specific workbook.

But I have been able to restore it.
I had changed something in the XML code in Custom UI Editor and apparently this was not accepted by excel.
It was however correctly formed in Custom UI Editor.

I added the physical address of the ribbon, a number that is generated each time.
I did this because I learned this during the course.
Actually, I do not quite understand how this works. Is it possible to send me more information about this?
Thanks in advance.
