I have an Excel file that is saved in a shared drive location and is accessed by my team members who have access the shared drive. The shared drive is always up.
I want to have a VBA code in the said file which could take backup of the said file every day at 8 PM in the evening at a specific path in the same shared drive. Even though all of ours computers are off (however, shared drive is up), the back up should process automatically. Is it possible ?

Hi A,
you can't run a VBA macro when the file and all computers are closed. Maybe Windows Task Scheduler can help you, otherwise you're probably best off asking your local system admin to schedule that for you or make a macro that saves a backup-copy on opening the file.
