I'm looking for a good training aid/book as I'm having problems trying to find the right course to do which covers VBA programming but with a focus on connecting to a MS-SQL 2008 (or simular) DB's. At the moment with assistance from the forums here I've been using ODBC connections to return data to spreadsheets, but as I'm progressing along I'm being asked to use 'ADO' (if I'm correct) to access the DB's (which I'm guessing is a more effiecent manner to do things). I want to do some lists / combo boxes to drill in to data (on the SQL DB) before I pull it back in to Excel (or sometime word). I fully understand I'm getting out of my Depth and would like to get a book to get my head around it and my terminology correct!

There are a lot of VBA books out there but its hard to pin point, which ones will give me the relevent info! I'm running office 2010 (32 bit), windows 7 Pro and SQL server 2008 (V10).

Thanks
