I just bought the book VBA and Macros for Microsoft Excel 2010

Over on page 15; Creating a Macro Button on the quick access toolbar.

on Step 4, Open the upper - left drop down and select Macros from the list. The macros category is fourth on the list. Excel displays a list of available macros in the left list box....

I don't have anything in there to choose from, is that right?

Also, if I right click on, say the Report Maco button I created. I can see the the list of 180 different icons. if I select anything, nothing happens. My report Icon in the ribbon is still just grey with the label Report Macros.

Any help would be greatly apperciated.

Thanks
Doug

Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
1. The instructions were written for the BETA version of Excel 2010 - the actual release had some differences
2. Step 2 should be select "Quick Access Toolbar" category on the left
3. If you have macros available for the document/documents selected, they will appear in the list box on the left.
4. Right-click in what mode? To change the icon, from the same dialog, select your macro button and click Modify
