VB excel reading comma as line break

I have a VB program that imports old Fixed Width text files into Excel. Works great until there is a comma in one of the text fields. At that point it starts a new line right in the middle of the record.

Is there a way to ignore or delete the comma?

Excel Facts

Format cells as time
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+2 to format cells as time. (Shift 2 is the @ sign).
