VB - Command Buttons

Hi

I am trying to make TicTacToe.

I am trying to create a command button that has a set varible of 'nothing', 'X' and 'O'. The buttons need to be activaited by a click. then a counter will be used to swap the turns around between the players that are 'X' and 'O'.

Hope people have got accross my message, any help will be much
