Value Error

Hi.
This is quite simple but i just don't know how to get around it.
The formula C+(A*B)-D
C is essential in computation but often empty. this give me a value error if C is empty.
What should be the right formula, not to get value error?

maybe:

=SUM(C1,A1*B1,-D1)

A couple of options...

1.

=IF(C="",(A*B)-D, C+(A*B)-D)


2.

=IF(C="","",C+(A*B)-D)


3.

=N(C)+(A*B)-D

All formula works including sandy666. As i refined my work, i find more errors as some data become unavailable.
Thanks to Aladin Akyurek's introduction of N function. It solved everything even my previous work benefited
from this shortest function.
