Hi,

I have this formula: =(PROPER(TEXT(TODAY();"[$-809] ddd d/mm/jj"))) which is initially a Dutch language formula (hence the "jj" and the ";"), but I wanted to return the days in English so I added the locale code 809.
The formula works perfectly on my work computer (Excel 2016 32-bit) but returns a value error on my colleague's computer with the same Excel version (2016 32 bit). Moreover, the short date settings of both computers are also the same. After an error check, it seems that the computer of the colleague returns something like a date value error. I do not have access to the colleague's computer.

Any ideas on what the issue could be here?

Thank you

I am unable to replicate your colleagues scenario.
Can you try this and see if it makes any difference.
Excel Formula:
=TEXT(A2;"[$-en-GB]ddd d/mm/jj")
PS: this won't make any difference but
although you need Proper for Dutch ddd, the English version defaults to Proper

Another thing to try is if your colleague goes to a cell with a date in it and goes to format date, can he select the English (United Kingdom) ?
If he can and applies it, does the date format change. (Ideally pick one with the month in words [makes the language obvious])
If neither of the 2 work then there might be something missing from his windows environment.

Note: If after doing the above you then switch to custom it gives you the text version of the LCID (Language Code Identifier) in this case [$-809] is [$-en-GB]
